Mary Ruschak

Mary Ruschak, 93, of Herminie, passed from this earth to join her Heavenly Father Thursday, April 6, 2023. She was born Dec. 20, 1929, in Herminie, the daughter of the late Louis and Anna Altieri. She was a 1947 graduate of Sewickley High School and was employed for many years at the State Farm Insurance office in Herminie. Mary was a woman of deep faith and was dearly loved by her family and many friends. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Mike Ruschak, as well as by her siblings and their spouses, Ann (William) Beckman, Josephine (Joseph) Matucheski, Louis (Antoinette) Altieri and Rosie (Leo) Leskosek; and sister-in-law, Jane Altieri. She was also preceded in death by her extended family, Peter (Anna) Ruschak, John (Ann) Ruschak, George (Norma) Ruschak, Mary (Conrad Semenski) Ruschak, Steve (Anna) Ruschak and Ann (Gus) Samios. She is survived by her brother, William (Moe) Altieri, and sister, Betty Lou (Tod) Spalla. She was a role model and source of great love and joy to her three children, Patti (Chris) Olson, Michael (Janet) Ruschak and Mary Jo (Jim) Potte, and grandchildren, Eric (Mary Beth) Olson, Heather (Jeff Small) Olson, Zach (Marie Kihle) Potter, Brett (Danielle) Potter, Michael (Lacey) Ruschak and Lauren (Ben) France. Mary will be missed by her great-grandchildren, Sidney and Ellis Olson, Maddie and Hadley Olson-Small, Harlow and Haven Potter, Peter and Lily France and Isak Kihle-Potter. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
