Mary Jane Simpson

Rock Hill, SC – Mary Jane Simpson, 88, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road, with Wayne Helms officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Mrs. Simpson was born in Hornsby, TN, Simpson was the daughter of the late Luther Hodge and the late Margie Fish Hodge. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Simpson and three brothers and two sisters. She cooked for the Boys Home for many years. Mary was a two time winner of the Pillsbury Bake Off and met Bob Barker twice. Mrs. Simpson would walk five miles a day, no matter the weather. She also loved to play and sing gospel music. She loved all types of animals.
Mrs. Simpson is survived by her three sons, Richard (Debbie) Simpson, of Rock Hill; Doug (Marcia) Simpson of Las Vegas, NV, and Gary Simpson of Marquette, MI; and her nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Simpson’s name to Humane Society of York County 8177 Regent Parkway Ste 103, Ft Mill, SC 29715.
