September 13, 1943 - March 13, 2022 (Age 78)

McKinley was born on September 13, 1943 in Forkland, Alabama to the late Jessie and Eliza (Moore) Green. He went home to be with the Lord early Sunday morning, on March 13, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones.

McKinley confessed Christ as his Savior at an early age and attended Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. W.C. Henderson. He received his formal education in Greene County Public School System, where he graduated from Greene County Training School in May of 1963 in Boligee, Alabama. After moving to Canton, He was employed for 10 years at Pioneer Provisions and then was employed by Fleming Foods, where he retired in 2008 after 25 years of service. He loved sports including softball, fishing, football, basketball and gardening. He especially loved pets and his beloved dog, Rambo.

He was well respected in the community. With loving kindness, he had a soft spoken manner, and infectious smile that would bring joy to others. He was a pillar in his family, was loved and respected by many and will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death and greeted in Heaven by his brothers, John, Willie, and Herman Green, Jessie Benison, and Elister Campbell.
