Melanie Ballantyne

Melanie K. (Grubb) Ballantyne, 63, Of North Irwin, died Saturday May 18, 2024. She was born October 2, 1960 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late William and Alma (Clapper) Grubb and was also preceded in death by her husband William J. Ballantyne and siblings Janet Bush, Lois Hood, Bill Grubb, and Karen Nemit. Melanie was an employee of CVS Pharmacy and a member of First United Church of Christ, Irwin. She loved her grandkids. She is survived by her children Corrine (Chris) Harper of Jeannette, Shaun Ballantyne of Greensburg, and Rochelle Ballantyne of Irwin; her grandchildren Immanuel, Xavier, Savion, Zion, Azaria, and Nasir Harper and Yasmine, Sasha, and Cade Ballantyne; her siblings Betty Fenton of Florida and Larry Grubb of Sewickley Township; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made in Melanie’s name to First United Church of Christ, 400 Main St., Irwin, PA 15642.
