Michael J. Sherman

Michael J. Sherman, 75, of Bethlehem, PA, formerly of Pottstown, PA, passed away on June 24, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Ethel (Koch) Sherman, with whom he celebrated 34 years of marriage on March 16, 2024.
Born on October 20, 1948, Michael was the son of the late Daniel S. Sherman Jr. and Katherine E. (Anderson) Sherman.
Mike graduated from Perkiomen High School in 1969 and spent most of his life working diligently as a factory worker. He was a humble man with a heart full of simple pleasures, finding joy in watching westerns, taking the dogs out for leisurely walks, and always being there to lend a hand to Ethel whenever he could.
Mike is lovingly remembered by his wife, Ethel Sherman; and his stepchildren, Debbie (& Sonny) Cavalli, Tina (& Jon) Wolak, Sarah Griffith, Laura Purcell, Thomas (& Jennifer) Wynne Griffith, and Joe Gordon. Mike is also survived by many additional loving family members who will cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, Mike was predeceased by his stepdaughters, Veronica Jean O’Kane and Brenda Evanco.
Visitation will take place on July 2, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A Life Celebration will follow at 3:00 p.m.
