Mildred Elizabeth Kinder

March 6, 1925 - June 8, 2021 (Age 96)

Mildred Elizabeth Holcomb Kinder, 96, of Mint Hill, North Carolina went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2021 following a lengthy illness. Born in Toccoa, Georgia to Mae Belle Camp Holcomb.

Mildred graduated high school and went on to work for Kraft Dairy Group for 30+ years as a receptionist. Mildred was fortunate to marry the love of her life, Harold Utsey Kinder Jr. on July 2nd in York, SC. They had a son, Harold (Hal) Utsey Kinder III in 1951.

Mildred enjoyed many things in life; such as, crafting, gardening, traveling. She loved serving her church of over 50 years, Wilson Grove Baptist Church in Mint Hill, NC. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Especially her Sweet Pea, great-great grandson Kashton.

Mildred was predeceased by her husband Harold, her mother, Mae Belle, her brothers, Claude, James (Jake) Holcomb and sister Martha Blackmon.

Mildred is survived by her son, Hal Kinder and wife Julie of Mint Hill, NC, Her granddaughter, Kristin Short and husband, Michael of Mint Hill, NC, Great Grandchildren; Hannah McLean and husband Josh of Mint Hill, Kaitlin Risch and fiancé Jerry Rogers Jr. of Byhalia, MS, Brenden Risch and wife Sara of Walnut, KS, Dana Short of Girard, KS, Caden and Jayden Risch of Mint Hill, NC and Trinity Short of Mint Hill, NC. Great-Great grandson, Kashton McLean of Mint Hill, NC. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family of Ms. Kinder would like to thank Novant Health Hospice for all the support they offered to the family and their care for Mildred.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at two o'clock at Wilgrove Baptist Church 6624 Wilgrove Mint Hill Road Mint Hill, NC 28227. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill, NC.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorials may be sent to Novant Health Hospice and Palliative Care and Wilson Grove Baptist Church.
