Mona Jean Burkett Mellen Dalla-Muta, 80, passed Wednesday, June 16, 2021, in Lawrenceville, Ga.
Mona Jean was born in Cumberland, and chose to return there to be buried along with other local family members even though she lived many years in Georgia with her surviving daughter, Leanne, and her family.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws, Darlene and James, of Maryland, and Leanne and Tom, of Georgia, along with two grandchildren, Maisy and James.
She is also survived by two sisters, Meredith Remeikis, of Maryland, and Thelma Lambert, of West Virginia.
Mona loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
We are gathering to celebrate her life and legacy.
