Nancy J. Fisher

Nancy Jane Fisher, 88, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at her home on September 26, 2025.
Born in Pottstown to the late Katherine (Kohler) and Chester Betts, Nancy spent nearly her entire life in Lancaster, where she built a loving home and family. A devoted mother of 11 children, raising her family was her life’s greatest joy and purpose. She was the steady heart of the household, often the peacekeeper, and her quiet strength left a lasting mark on those she loved.
In her free moments, Nancy enjoyed reading, crocheting, and was a faithful fan of the Phillies and Eagles, never missing a chance to cheer them on. Her family remembers her as gentle, dependable, and deeply caring; qualities that will be cherished and missed.
She was the wife of the late Philip F. Fisher. Nancy is survived by her children: James Fisher (Bonnie), Dorothea Peelor (the late “Little John”), Joseph Fisher, Cathy Reider (Dennis), Patricia Fisher (Missy Wolf), Jack Fisher (Daphne), Ruth Feister (Jerry), and Jeff Fisher (Melissa). She was preceded in death by her sons Billy, Joe, and Jerry Fisher. She will be remembered with love by her 24 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at The Groff Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 528 W. Orange Street, Lancaster, where the family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Riverview Burial Park, Lancaster.
