Nina Dyer

November 18, 1943 - January 28, 2026 (Age 82)

Nina C. Dyer, 82, of Madison, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born Nov. 18, 1943, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Thomas C. and Margaret O. (Stafford) Flanigan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl R. Dyer in 1999; seven siblings, James Flanigan, William Flanigan, Francis (Butch) Flanigan, Elizabeth (Betty) Flanigan, Carol Kopko, Donna Krance, Lauretta Stanley, and beloved, great grandson, Sage Nicholas Hoffer.

Prior to her retirement, Nina was a hairdresser and owned her own beauty salon for more than 20 years. She was a member of Seven Dolors Church in Yukon. She loved spending time with her family and loved them dearly. Nina was a loving mother, sister and cherished “Gram / Nunna ” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a huge Steelers fan. Nina will forever be remembered for her Ninaisms, and she finally got her peace —if you know, you know. She would always make you smile and she lit up the room.

Nina is survived by her two daughters, Colleen M. Hoffer of Yukon and Traci L. Dyer of New Jersey; three special grandchildren, Samantha ( Chris) Hoffer, Matthew Hoffer and Richard (Kate) Hoffer; six special, great -grandchildren, Luke, Olivia, Nikolas, Brooks, Myles and Ruby;sister, Bernadine ( Chrissy Robinson) Flanigan of Yukon; and many nieces and nephews, great -nieces, and great-nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and neighbors. The family would like to thank Concordia Hospice for all their love and compassionate care given to their mom.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 pm on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026 at the Joseph W. NIckels Funeral Home Inc. 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026 in Seven Dolors Church, 102 Center Street, Yukon, PA 15698, with Rev. David Nazimek as celebrant. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.
