Nina Whitehead

May 24, 1965 - April 20, 2025 (Age 59)

In loving memory of Nina Whitehead, A beautiful soul who graced this world from May 24,1965 to April 20,2025. Nina was a cherished mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio by a close-knit family that instilled in her the values of integrity, compassion, perseverance and generosity.

Throughout her life, Nina found immense joy in being a mother and grandmother along with her greatest accomplishments; Obtaining her high school diploma at South High School, buying her first home to give her children a forever home and stability along with starting a career as an Optician Laboratory Technician. She enjoyed listening to music and singing in her spare time as she would rock along with the beat. Some of her favorite singers was Mariah Carey, Keith Sweat, Michael Jackson and Tina Marie along with many gospel songs one of her favorites being Safe In His Arms.

Animals was Nina’s peace and comfort her favorite dog breed being Siberian Husky’s she loved talking with family and friends sharing laughter or just needing words of encouragement specially in her stubborn moments. As we bid farewell to Nina, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on forever in our hearts, her legacy will continue to inspire us all.

Preceding her in death- Daughter Shantee Miller and Parents Ethel Hairston “Lady Wrestler”, Step-Father Leon Hairston Sr.

She leaves to cherish her love and memories- Daughters- Raven Miller, Ebony Miller, Son- Christopher Miller, Grandchildren- Jaelyn Glanton, Jay’Vaire Glanton, Raina Glanton, Gya Sheppard, Siblings- Shelly Adams, Pamela (Kenneth)Grant, Leon (Maria) Hariston, Anthony Barrow, A host of Nieces and Nephews, Cousins and dear Friends.

In honoring Nina Whithead, let us take comfort in the knowledge that she is at peace surrounded by the love of her heavenly father her life may have come to end but her spirit will live on in the arms of those she touched.
