Norman Wilson

September 21, 1928 - December 8, 2024 (Age 96)

Norman H. Wilson, 96, of Lincoln University, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at his residence.

Born in New Danville, he was the son of the late C. Roy and Anna (Hoak) Wilson. He was the loving husband of Dorothy P. (Detwiler) Wilson.

Norm and Dottie were always together and lived in Lancaster County for 70 years before their move to Chester County. They celebrated 77 years of marriage in November. They loved auctions, garage sales, volunteering, spending time with family, family reunions, always available to lend a helping hand to others, enjoyed their lawn mowing and snow plowing business after Norm’s retirement from Alumax. He was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church. He enjoyed using his handyman, wood working and mechanical skills throughout his life. Norman’s family is eternally grateful for the 25 years of compassionate care at the Lancaster Cancer Center.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his children, Linda (Samuel) Smith and David Wilson; his brother, Howard Wilson; grandchildren, James (Gina) Wilson and Amanda Keeler; a great-grandchild, Alex Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Dorothy Ressel, Florence Leonard, Edna Earhart, Chester, John, Benjamin, Henry, Mary Kline, and daughter in law Susan Wilson.

Friends and family will be received from 10am to 11am on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. A funeral service will follow beginning at 11am. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Norm’s name to the Brandywine River Valley Home Hospice, 1011 W Baltimore Pike Suite 208, West Grove, PA 19390.
