Otilia Ortiz-Sanchez

Otilia Ortiz-Sanchez, 92 of Lancaster passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Yauco, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Julio Ortiz and Antonia Sanchez.
Otilia was one of the first women in Puerto Rico that worked as a tuna packager in a fish factory. She was Catholic by faith. She was a loving, pleasnat and helpful lady. She was often found singing and earlier in life, she enjoyed sewing. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and especially the great great grandchildren.
Otilia will be missed by her daughter, Wanda Semidey of Lancaster and her sons, Ramon and Rolando Semidey of Puerto Rico and Jaime Semidey of Lancaster. She is also survived and loved by her grandchildren, Pamela, Orlando, Neila, Jessica, Maria and Hector; 7 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Otilia's Christian Prayer Service on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 1PM from the Melanie B. Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, 317 E. Orange Street, Lancaster with Father Luis Rodriguez officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 11AM to 1PM. Interment will be held in the Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster.
