Patricia A. Bodnar

Patricia A. Bobnar, 89, of Madison, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 21, 1933, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Charles and Marguerite (Crossland) Williams. Patricia was a member of St. Edward Roman Catholic Church, in Herminie. She was also a 50-year member of the S.N.P.J. Lodge No. 223 in Greensburg. She loved playing Bocce with her family and friends, enjoyed bowling and dancing. She also loved spending time with her family and meeting friends for dinner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Bobnar Sr.; a daughter, Viki Errett; son-in-law, Denver Leaman; brother, Charles Williams; and a sister, Mame Bauer. Patricia is survived by her two daughters, Patricia "Trisha" Bobnar, of Hawaii, and Cheryl Hale, of Ohio; son, Michael (Tina) Bobnar Jr., of Greensburg; seven grandchildren, Cheryl Jean, Juniper (David), Esoos (Amber), Isaiah (Angie), Mike III (Megan), Ezra and Luke (Alexandra); 14 great-grandchildren, Baily, Michael James, Braunavan, Braylon, Joseph, Ivan, Michael IV, Jude, Peter, Olivia, Tosh, Mikai, Coco and Kahana; sister-in-law, Joyce Williams, of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to thanks the staff at Amedisys Hospice in Scottdale for all their love and compassionate care given to their mom, especially, Daisy and Jody; her aid, Aria; and her caregiver, Heather Wills. Patricia will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2023, at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2023, in St. Edward Church, Herminie, with Father Vincent Yee Concepcion as celebrant. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.
