Patricia Helen (Paynter) Norris, 94, of Zanesville, died at 12:47 A.M., Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Genesis Hospital emergency room. She was born October 24, 1928, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Ernest and Jeannette Kokensparger Paynter. She worked for twenty seven years at Landmark and was a faithful member of North Terrace Church of Christ.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan Norris; three sisters, Sally Albrecht, twins, Jane (Don) Untied and June Lacy; a step-grandchild, Diana Donahue; and a special niece Sonya Strange.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Buck” Norris; two brothers, Ernest Paynter Jr. and Donald Paynter; a sister, Phyllis Willard; a child she raised, Donald and his wife Donna Savage; and three brothers-in-law, Kenneth Lacy, Fred Albrecht, and Ben Willard.
Friends and family may call from 4-7 P.M. Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, and one hour prior to services at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at North Terrace Church of Christ, 1420 Brandywine Blvd with Mr. William L. Meaige officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, William at Zanesville Memorial Park, Zanesville.
