Patricia Joan Dornin

Patricia Joan Dornin, 85, of Irwin, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, at UPMC East Monroeville Hospital. Patricia was born on February 10, 1939, in Jeannette Hospital, Westmoreland County, a daughter of the late Eugene L. and Bruna (DaPra) Pinazza Sr.
She worked at Jeannette Glass for many years until it closed, followed by roles at the Pizza Pit in Manor and Mine Safety in Murrysville. Patricia was a devoted member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin.
A passionate sports fan, she enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. Her other interests included riding with her husband on his Harley Davidson alongside their friends, spending time with her family and friends, and cherishing moments with her beloved pets. Patricia will always be remembered for her compassionate and generous spirit, especially her love for dogs. She was dedicated to donating to organizations supporting children and animals.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Nancy Pinazza and Joyce Louch, and her nephew, Joseph Laspina.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Kenneth Dornin; her daughter, Dane Zimmer (fiancé Daniel Rullo); her granddaughter, Devyne Chevalier (John); and her great-grandchildren, Rory and Capri. She is also survived by her siblings, Eugene Pinazza Jr. (Donna) and Jean Laspina (Joseph); her nieces and nephews, Dina (John), Tara (Rich), Erik (Michelle), Donn, Gina (Adam), Eugene (Nikki), Genee, Jeffrey (Tracie), and Gino (Cindy); and her great-nieces and nephews, Alec, Gavin, Sophia, and Kaleb.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 10 AM until 11:45 AM, with a funeral blessing service to begin at 12 Noon at Ott Funeral Home Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, 724-863-8900. Interment will follow in Jeannette Memorial Park, Jeannette.
