Patricia Kon
July 2, 1935 – February 20, 2026 (Age 90)
Patricia A. Kon, 90 of Donora, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at her home. She was born in Donora on July 2, 1935, a daughter of the late John and Catherine V. Basista Andrews.
Mrs. Kon loved to cook and bake and was known for her apple and berry pies, her homemade raviolis and her signature dish, homemade chicken soup. She was gifted in cooking three cuisines; Slovak, Polish, and Italian and always had something warm on the table.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kon in 2020; and her two siblings, John Andrews, Jr. and Geraldine Burkhardt.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her three children, Patrick (Laurie) Kon of Donora, Michael (Annette) Kon of Florida, and Daniel (Nancy) Kon of Florida; ten grandchildren, Maria, Mikey, Tom (Renee), Jim (Jill), Ben (Claudia), Liz (Jon), Becky (Nick), Katie (Tony), Jason, and Christian (Lisa); 11 great-grandchildren, Julia, Lila, Emmy, Dylan, Jamie, Andy, Gwen, Tristan, Claire, Hailey, and Ashley; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses, aides and social workers of Amedisys Hospice and her caregivers, her niece Barbara Burkhardt and a family friend Janet Woods for the love, care and support they all have shown.
Family and friends are being received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, (724) 379-6900. A service will take place in the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026, with Pastor Doug Conroy officiating. Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
