She then went on to attend Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing and following her graduation she embarked on a rewarding career as a registered nurse. Patty began working as an R.N. for Braddock General Hospital in Braddock, PA. Her career took her to numerous hospitals and care facilities. She retired a few years back with 34 years of service, and was most recently working for UPMC Home Health. Patty loved trying her luck at the Rivers Casino. She also treasured spending time on the golf course with Mike, and especially enjoyed taking trips to Myrtle Beach, SC and Sarasota, FL. Most of all, Patty’s family made her life worth living. She found the greatest reward later in life when she was able to spend time with her grandchildren, Brody and Parker.

Friends are welcome Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory; 700 Linden Ave. at Cable; East Pittsburgh, PA 15112; (412) 824-8800, where a Blessing Service will be held Friday at 11 a.m.
