Patricia Walls
September 30, 1952 - September 30, 2024 (Age 72)
Patricia “Patty” Ettley Mounts-Walls, 72, of Crescent City, FL, formerly of Zanesville. On the morning of September 30th, 2024, Patricia Ettley Mounts-Walls, better known as “Patty” to her loved ones, began her celestial journey, celebrating 72 extraordinary years. Born in Dayton, Ohio on September 30th, 1952, to Marie Francis Brown, Patty embodied the essence of freedom and adventure.
Her courageous heart led her through many pursuits, from obtaining a degree from Hammel College to an esteemed career as a plumber, always seeking growth. Patty’s passions ignited her soul, whether tracing family heritage with her son David, singing and dancing with her granddaughters, mastering Candy Crush Saga, finding faults in Donald Trump and his MAGA movement, mastering her recipe for “Patty’s Potato Salad,” or spreading true joy through wholesome laughter. Her unwavering dedication to family and unrelenting spirit inspired generations through stories, songs, dance, and unconditional loved shared with her cherished family.
Raising her children and grandchildren was Patty’s most rewarding adventure. Patty’s lasting legacy to her children beautifully affirmed that each child held an equal place in her heart, with no single child standing as her favorite, but all shining as her treasured favorites.
Patty leaves behind her beloved sons, Michael P. Walls (Aimee), James A. Walls (Anne), Robert J. Walls (Erica), David L. Walls (Kelly), Philip J. Walls (Jennifer), Brent A. Walls, Brian S. Walls (Destini), and her only loving daughter, Patricia R. Walls. Also, in mourning are 35 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her siblings, Cathy Mahoney, Pamela “Pam” Nielsen, Lynn Kolb, Ruth “Libby” Mounts, Bud “Buck” Mounts, and Charlotte “Charlie” Mounts. Furthermore, Patty will be sadly missed by many cousins, especially Anita Hankison, who was more of a sister than she was a cousin.
She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert D. Walls; her beloved sons, William E. Walls and Roy. H. Walls; her loving mother, Marie F. Brown; her wonderful brothers, Larcombe “Chip” Mounts and John “Buzz” Mounts; her one-of-a-kind aunt, Joanna S. Brown-Cady; and her awesome cousin, Peggy S. Thompson.
Friends may call Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, October 11, 2024, at the funeral home. Patty will be laid to rest beside her husband and son in Zanesville Memorial Park.
