Paul J. Stokum

Paul J. Stokum, 79, of Jeannette, died Saturday, June 27, 2026, at home surrounded by family. He was born February 1, 1947 in Greensburg, a son of the late Clarence J. and Hazel (Mathias) Stokum. Paul was a very proud Army veteran who served during the Vietnam Conflict and a retired printer for Sterling Box. He loved playing with his grandchildren, loved his garden, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was also a big Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He is survived by his wife Judy E. (Hopkins) Stokum; his children Lori M. Poland-Dickson and Jason P. Stokum (Amanda Stokum-Dillen); his grandchildren Hollie Dickson (Isaiah), Jonathan Stokum (Rajha), Alexia, Angie, and John; great grandchildren Arisella “Snug”, Jonavan “Nava”, Skylynn “Sky”, and Rubion “Ruby”; a sister Charlotte Saint; also numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by siblings Genevieve Klingensmith, Betty Jean DiNardo, Lois Stokum, Lillian Mae Tocco, Delores Couchenour, Ilene Anderson, Clarence J. Stokum Jr., John Stokum, and Thomas Stokum. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main St., Irwin. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. in the funeral home with military honors following. A fellowship meal will follow at Ardara Presbyterian Church, 3380 Nehrig Hill Rd., Ardara 15615.
