Peggy Joyce Leonard

Peggy Joyce Leonard, 80, of Wellersburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at UPMC-Western Maryland.
Born October 13, 1944 in Cumberland, MD, Ms. Leonard was the daughter of the late John Frederick Robinette and Erma LaVerne (Sturtz) Robinette. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Richard “Dick” Leonard; and a brother: Roy Robinette.
Peggy was a former employee at Pennsylvania Brassiere Company and worked at the contract Post Office in Wellersburg for 22 years. She also delivered Meals on Wheels, Somerset, PA and was active with the Election Board in Wellersburg. Peggy was a member of the Wellersburg Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary where she served as treasurer. She was also a member of Zion Community Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for 13 years and served as VP of Consistory and Past President of the Womens’ Guild.
Peggy is survived by a son: Richard Leonard and wife Shelly; her special granddaughters: Savannah; and Shawna Arnold and husband Josh; and a sister: Barbara Robinson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Jim Jeffries officiating.
A private interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
