Perry Samuel Swain

Perry Samuel (Sam) Swain, age 65, passed away as the result of an auto accident on January 9, 2026. Sam was born on March 2, 1960, to the late Beatrice (Smith) Massie. As well as his mother he is also preceded in death by his step father Bob Massie, and his nephew, Carl Swain. Sam is survived by his wife, Melinda Manyer of 39 years; siblings, Clark (Sandi), Peggy, Judy (Mike), Letitia, and Mark (Uli); many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews; and many friends. Sam was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved boating. He was an all around outdoorsman. Sam loved to spend time with his family and many friends. He was retired from Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center after 30 years of service. Visitation for Sam will be Thursday January 15, 2026, from 2-5 and 6-8 pm at O.R. WOODYARD CO. 1346 S. HIGH ST. COLUMBUS, OH. 43207 where services will be held Friday January 16, 2026, at 11:00 am. Deacon Roger Menner officiating. Interment Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
