Ray Eugene Wilson, 51, of Stanfield, NC, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Atrium Health University in Charlotte.
Ray was born June 5, 1971 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Ray Wilson and the late Brenda Wilson.
Ray was employed for 29 years with the City of Charlotte and 23 years with Carolina Rent-A-Car. Some of his favorite things included mustangs, cookouts and drag racing. He was happy and content with just spending time with his family and friends. If you know Ray, you know he is known for his "driveway beers" and waving at every car passing by.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Monday, August 15, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Wesley Barbee. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd., Mint Hill.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Wilson; daughters, Makayla Rae Wilson and Angel (Rico) Stephenson; sister, Treasa Hinson; niece, Ashley Hinson; grandson, Nathan Mcdonald.
