Raymond Lancaster

Raymond Francis Lancaster, 85, of Cumberland, MD, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Peace Healthcare at The Lions Center.
Born April 26, 1940, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late John Robert and Georgiana Lancaster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Renee Troy; and his brother, Robert Lancaster.
Raymond was a 1958 graduate of Allegany High School. He was a member of Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church and was a lifetime member of the NRA.
Raymond worked as a field office manager for over 10 years at Walter Yoder and Sons. He also worked for Kelly Springfield Tires as a scheduler for 22 years.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia (Shaffer) Lancaster; sister, Sharon Magruder and husband Donald; nephew, Marc Magruder and wife Lauren; nieces, Rhonda McNeal and husband Trevor and Kathryn Mathews and husband Tim; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland on Thursday, January 22nd from 2 to 3:00 p.m.. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. with clergy from Our Lady of the Mountains officiating.
Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, MD.
