October 1, 1944 - September 27, 2022 (Age 77)
Rock Hill, SC – Mrs. Jean Blanks Workman, 77, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Atrium Health Mercy Hospital in Charlotte, NC.
Mrs. Workman was born in Rock Hill, SC, and was the daughter of the late Furman P. Blanks and the late Margaret Bagley Blanks. She was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church. She previously worked at York General Hospital in the Admitting Office and Marshall Oil Company. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Workman was preceded in death by her daughter, Beth W Gay, and her brothers, Furman Blanks, Jr., and David Blanks. Mrs. Workman was a NASCAR fan and loved Dale Earnhardt, and actually had a Dale Earnhardt room in her home.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill with Reverend Heather Baird, and Reverend Jerry Devinney officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 5:30 pm, Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel.
Mrs. Workman is survived by her husband, William (Billy) E. Workman; and her daughter, Missy W Shuler of Rock Hill, SC.
The family would like to thank the Atrium families for the professional care given to Mrs. Workman during her illness. Also, a special thanks to Kim of Visiting Angels for her visits.
Missy wants to thank her father for him taking care of her mother during her illness.
