Regina Whiteman

Cumberland, MD- Regina Ruth Whiteman, 86, of Cumberland, MD, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Sterling Care- Frostburg Village.

Born August 13, 1938, in Cumberland, MD, Mrs. Whiteman was the daughter of the late Edgar Allen Isner and Zelda Ruth (Stewart) Isner. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Dane O. Whiteman, Sr.; her brother: Michael Wagner; and her sister: Thelma Zembower and husband Daryl; and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Regina was formerly employed at Point Lookout State Park, Kings Department Store, Shinnamon Shoes, Lucky Linens, and Chesapeake Ranch Estates. She enjoyed designing floral arrangements and while working at Lucky Linens, she learned to do alterations and really enjoyed doing so. She was a member of the Cumberland Moose Lodge #271 and the Redman Lodge. She played shuffleboard for the EZ Way league for several years.

Regina is survived by her daughter: Gayle Virts and husband John; her son: Dane O. Whiteman, Jr.; her grandchildren: Tommy Ricker, III and wife Jess; and Dane Whiteman, III and wife Victoria; her great-grandchildren: Tommy Ricker, IV, Marilyn Ricker, Audrey Kimble, Dane Whiteman, IV; and Weston Whiteman; and her sisters-in-law: Susie Wagner and Martha Whiteman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD (www.adamsfamilyfuneralhome.com) on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Harold McClay, Jr. officiating.

Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Administration and Nursing Staff of Sterling Care for all the care provided.
