Private funeral services were held for Renae L. (Roberts) Taylor, 67, of Monongahela (Victory Hill) who passed away on Thursday July 11, 2024 after a brief illness in her home. Born July 19, 1956, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Dessel W. Sr. and Elizabeth Ann (Tomlinson) Roberts. After graduating in 1974 from Ringgold High School Renae began working at U.S. Steels, Irvin Works Plant weighing coils of steel until deciding to focus on raising her family. As her family grew she went back to work as a book keeper for various businesses in the area. She was a member of the Monongahela Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed doing crafts, cooking but most of all spending time with her family.
Renae is survived by her husband Craig Taylor; a son Sean Taylor of Moon Twp.; a brother Dessel W. Roberts, Jr. of Kane County; a twin sister Dorae (Jack) Smith of Victory Hill and a grandson Jacob Taylor; a sister in law Andrea Coulson (William Watson) of Charleroi; her mother in law Jacqueline Taylor of Charleroi; along with a niece and nephew.
The Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, 724-258-6767 were in charge of her arrangements. Interment was held in Mon-Valley Memorial Park, Donora. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Monongahela Church of the Nazarene, 206 10th St, Monongahela, PA 15063.
