Renee Stultz
August 3, 1925 - July 25, 2024 (Age 98)
Renee Stultz 98, of Manatawny Manor, went home to be with the Lord on July 28, 2024. She was born in Allentown, PA on August 3, 1925 to Edward and Elsie Follweiler.
Renee was a graduate of Lankenau Hospital School of Nursing in 1946. She worked for Dr. Sheppard in Pottstown while raising all four children. Later in life, Renee put her nursing skills to work at Coventry Manor Nursing Home, where she was a favorite among the residents for her kind and caring demeanor.
Renee spent many hours outside with her father and siblings learning to appreciate nature. As an adult she continued her love of the outdoors often hiking with her daughter and dog named Boney. In her fifties she discovered a new hobby, "bass fishing". After donning a pair of old sneakers and shorts, she would go wading and casting her lures in the Schuylkill River. She enjoyed fishing in all of the local lakes and even enjoyed a fishing trip to Canada. Renee caught a couple of nice striped bass while night fishing, but her biggest smile came when it was her turn to drive the 200 hp bass boat.
In her later years when hiking became too difficult, she spent hours in a special tree house built by her son to watch wildlife.
Family picnics and yearly camping trips to Knoebels Grove, were some of her favorite things to reminisce with family and friends.
Renee will be dearly missed, but left us all with fond memories to keep us smiling when we think of her (Mom, Sis, Aunt Nee, Friend)
Renee was predeceased by husband, Louis Stultz and brother, Jay Follweiler. She is survived by her four children, Gary Stultz, Dennis Stultz, Cindy Thomas, and Bob Stultz; two sisters Jeanette Cappos, Joanne Miller and a brother Ronald Follweiler. Renee has 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Saturday August 3, 2024 at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King Street, Pottstown. Officiating will be the Reverend Suzanne Spaulding. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. There will be a viewing Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
