Reverend Byron L. Jameson
August 28, 1959 – March 4, 2026 (Age 66)
Reverend Byron Lee Jameson, 66, of Drexel Hill, PA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 4, 2026, at Lankenau Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Rebecca “Becki” M. (Felker) Jameson, with whom he shared 43 wonderful years of marriage. Together they were blessed with three sons, Jeremy, Steven, and David, and one granddaughter.
Born in Pottstown, PA, on August 28, 1959, Byron was the son of the late Reverend Howard “Doc” O. Jameson, Ph.D., and Elsie M. (Lockwood) Jameson, Ph.D.
Byron graduated from Haverford High School in 1978 and went on to attend Eastern College, now Eastern University, where he met the love of his life, Becki. From a young age, Byron developed a strong work ethic. He worked as a paperboy delivering the Philadelphia Inquirer and also mowed lawns and shoveled snow for neighbors in his community. Later, while attending college, he worked in campus maintenance before beginning his studies for the ministry under the guidance of his father.
Following his father’s passing, Byron faithfully continued the ministry, assuming the pastoral role and carrying on the work to which he had been called. He dedicated many years to teaching, instructing children at Jameson Christian Academy in Philadelphia, PA, and teaching adult classes through the Jameson Schools of Ministry and Theology, also in Philadelphia.
Byron is survived by his beloved wife, Becki; his sons, Jeremy Jameson, Steven (Kelsey DeStevens) Jameson, and David Jameson; his granddaughter; his brother and sister-in-law, Timothy L. and Carole Jameson of Blandon, PA; his sister-in-law, Karen Jameson of Boothwyn, PA; and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Byron was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Owen K. Jameson.
