It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved father Richard Aldo Crovi. Richard was 89 years old and was born on December 13, 1935 in NYC and died on December 19, 2024 in Mooresville, NC.

Richard is survived by his three children: Joanne Ghoens (Stephen), Sandra Clark (Daniel), and Michael Crovi (Judith), and their mother Grace Avampato; his six grandchildren: Christina Clark, Rachel Bisceglia (David), Jessica Ghoens, Thomas Clark, Joseph Crovi (Abigail) and Philip Crovi, one soon to be arriving great grandson; his sister Irene Josephs; several nieces nephews; and two stepchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Aldo and Mary Crovi.

Richard's family settled in Bridgewater, MA where he lived until he moved to Charlotte, NC in 1959. He was in the retail shoe business until he retired in 2012. He spent approximately 4 years in the Army and Army reserves being honorably discharged in 1962. Being a man of faith he was a member of several churches over the years, but during his last 12 years he was a member of Peninsula Baptist Church in Mooresville where he enjoyed the fellowship of the senior ministry.

A small family graveside service will be held in the Spring.

In lieu of flowers please consider sending a donation to Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625 www.hoic.org, who lovingly cared for him and his family during his last months.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, what is unseen is eternal.

2 Timothy 4:7

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith
