Mr. Richard L. Threatt, Sr., 78, of Rock Hill, SC died on Thursday, April 17, 2025. He was born on April 28, 1946 in Rock Hill, SC to Lewis Threatt and Edith Hartsell Threatt. He is preceded in death by both parents and his sisters, Ruth Ann T. Norton, Jane T. Workman and Norma T. Currence.
Richard is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice Williford Threatt; sons, Richard L. Threatt, Jr. (Amy) and Mark S. Threatt (Keri); and four grandchildren, Matthew, Abigail, Anna Grace and Emma.
Richard was a 1965 graduate of Rock Hill High School. He was a United States Navy veteran and served during the Vietnam War era. He retired from Bowater after 35 years of employment.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Grandview Memorial Park, 620 S Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
