Richard Mac Heather, Jr of Lakewood Ranch, FL passed peacefully from this life into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.
Mac was born in Baltimore, MD on December 17, 1944. The only child to the late Richard M. Heather, Sr. and Virginia Gilpin (Head) Heather.
He was a veteran in the Air Force Reserve. Mac graduated from Perdue University Aviation School. Afterwards he was employed as a pilot for the Goodyear Tire Company, Akron, Ohio.
Mac married Dorothy M. (O’Baker) on July 1, 1972, in Towson, MD. For 49 years the two shared everything in this world together.
In his spare time Mac enjoyed golfing and tending to his yard and gardens.
Fondly, Mac will be remembered as a loving husband and a witty friend with a dry sense of humor who loved to tease and laugh with folks.
Mac is survived by a sister-in-law, Sharon Musselwhite and her children, Roy Jr and Joshua Musselwhite, Niece, Jamie Rice and her children, Elizabeth Perdue and Jesse Rice III, as well as several other nieces and nephews. It is with sincere appreciation we wish to thank Judy Miller, LeAnna Lehman, and Stephen Rodeheaver for their years of friendship.
Now the life-long couple will have a joint funeral service to be held at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown, on Sunday, August 22, 2021. Viewing 1-3pm with services to begin at 3pm. Pastor Denny Michael officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
