Robert Alan Williams

January 21, 1954 – March 23, 2026 (Age 72)

Robert “Bobby” Alan Williams, 72, of Midland, North Carolina, passed away on March 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on January 21, 1954, Bobby grew up in Mint Hill, NC, where he formed lifelong friendships and a deep appreciation for community. He attended Independence High School and later married the love of his life, Beverly McCall Williams. Together they built a life grounded in devotion, laughter, and unwavering support, raising their son, Michael Williams, whom Bobby cherished beyond measure.

Bobby was known for his strength, humor, and tireless work ethic. He never missed a phone call from family or friends, always ready to lend a hand, share a story, or simply listen. His presence was a steady comfort to those who knew him, and his loyalty ran deep.

His greatest passion—aside from his family—was cars. Old cars, fast cars, restored cars… if it had wheels and history, Bobby loved it. He spent countless joyful hours at car shows with his son Michael, grandson Coleman, and granddaughter Morgan, admiring classic models and adding to his own collection. Riding around town in his cars, visiting friends, and watching car racing were some of his favorite ways to spend a day. He also took great pride in watching Michael and Coleman race RC cars, cheering them on with the same enthusiasm he brought to everything he loved. Bobby and his granddaughter Morgan spent many weekends fiddling with her prized possession, a Jeep 4 x 4, passing down his passion and knowledge of mechanics and vehicles in general. Yes, he gifted her the Jeep, but more importantly, he gave her the time, tools, and confidence to make it her own.

Bobby is survived by his devoted wife, Beverly; his son, Michael and wife, Jessica; and his beloved grandchildren, Morgan and Coleman Williams. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Russell Williams, and his brother, Gary Williams.
