Robert DeWayne Williams

Rock Hill, SC - Mr. Robert Dewayne Williams, 53, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Atrium Heath (CMC - Main).
A native of Rock Hill,SC, Mr. Williams was a son of James “Jimmy”Henry Williams, Jr. and Ethel Kimbrell Williams. Mr. Williams retired from the city of Rock Hill after 34 years of service. After retirement he worked part-time at Excel Truck Group. He was also a member of Rawlinson Road Baptist Church where he served as a member of the media team. He will be remembered as a man who loved hunting and being outdoors. He enjoyed working with his hands, was a motorcycle enthusiast, and a Star Wars nerd. He was always striving to help family, friends and church members in any way he could.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Shannon Williams of Rock Hill, SC; a daughter, Makayla Acosta (Darian) of Fountain Inn, SC; sister, Marie Robinson, nieces, Chloe Robinson, Emilee Bass (Jay), Harley McKeithen of Greenville, SC and Ansleigh Beall of Union, SC; nephew, Ian Robinson (Jenny); many great nieces and great nephews; and Cousin, Danny Cook (Tabitha, Oceana, Drake).
The family will receive friends 5-7 pm, Monday, October 12, 2026, at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home. A funeral service will be 12:00 pm Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Rawlinson Road Baptist Church, 1024 Rawlinson Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park - Cherry Road.
