Robert Donald Yates

Robert Donald Yates, 82 of Paintertown, passed away March 19, 2024, at Hempfield Manor. He was born March 24, 1941, in Greensburg, Pa., a son of the late Joseph and Hazel Painter Yates. Bob was the owner of Bob Yates Concrete Finishing Company and Sales. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and small engine repair. A proud veteran, Bob served in the U.S. Marines during Vietnam as a Sergeant. He is survived by his first wife and friend, Joan Yates, his beloved daughter Lisa Marie Yates, sisters, Oletha "Bunny" Salopek (John) and Connie Clooney, one grandson, Christopher Joseph Yates, numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, Pa on Sunday from 2-6 P.M. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 A.M. in the funeral home chapel followed by interment at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
