Robert K. Simmons

Robert “Bobby” Kenneth Simmons, 72, of Everett, PA; passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at home. He was born on August 18, 1952 in Everett, PA; a son of the late Robert D. and Loretta M. “Toots” (O’Neal) Simmons.
He is survived by his siblings Linda Ritchey, York, PA; Debbie J. married to Duyane Williams, Everett, PA; Clinton D. Simmons and companion Linda Bauer, Everett, PA and Leslie J. married to Roy Miller, Everett; his companion Donna Cox; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and Uncle Clinton and Aunt Bessie O’Neal.
He was preceded in death by his wife Connie L. (Logsdon) Simmons; brother-in-law Roy Ritchey and sister-in-law Sandra Simmons.
He was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1970. He served in the United States Army, having served as a Tomb Guard, guarding the tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.
Bobby was a partner in Simmons Reality, Sunco Enterprise, Inc., and Bedford County Oil Inc.
He enjoyed shooting trap and shot at the Bedford County Sportsman’s Club, Pennsylvania State Shoot, Elysburg, PA, Great Jackson Sporting Club, Franklin County League and was a member of the American Trap Association. He loved hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Bobby never met a stranger, enjoyed a good laugh and always had fun.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.
Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jonathan Kisner officiating.
Burial will be held privately at Bedford County Memorial Park.
If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bobby to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
