Robert L. Clouser Jr., 69, passed away on December 6, 2025, at home in Gilbertsville, PA.
Born in Pottstown, PA, on September 23, 1956, Robert was the son of the late Robert L. Clouser Sr. and Genevieve G. (Dilliplane) Clouser.
Robert worked at the Kinsey Distillery in Linfield and held several other positions throughout his life, including serving as a courier for The Pottstown Mercury and later as a custodian at Pottstown High School. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan who attended countless games over the years, including the 1996 MLB All-Star Game and one of the Phillies’ winning World Series games in 2008. A tough, resilient fighter with a helpful and kind spirit, he was devoted to his children and grandchildren and cherished his time at the shore in Ventnor City, New Jersey.
Robert is lovingly remembered by his three children, Crystal Sweitzer, Will Clouser (Lauren), and RJ Clouser; his three grandchildren, Emma Clouser, Kayde Clouser, and Lindsay Sweitzer; his sister, Linda Clouser; and his ex-wife and caretaker, Anna Christine Clouser.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A memorial service celebrating Robert’s life will follow at 11:00 a.m., with inurnment afterward at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert’s name may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Rd., Birdsboro, PA 19508, or to the Amputee Coalition.
