Ellerslie, MD – Robert Lee Ringer, 79, of Ellerslie, MD, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at UPMC-Western Maryland.
Born February 26, 1942, in Albright, WV, Mr. Ringer was the son of the late Alva Paul Ringer and Thelma (Garlitz) Ringer. He was also preceded in death his sister: Geraldine Smith; and his brother: Eddie Ringer.
A graduate of Mount Savage High School, Class of 1960, Bob was a former employee with Schmidt’s Bakery, and retired from the Allegany County Board of Education as Head Custodian at Parkside School where he was affectionately called Mr. Bob. He was a member of the Central Assembly of God Church for almost 60 years where, in his younger years, he was very active. Bob was a faithful, supportive, hardworking individual who loved the Lord and was known for his quick wit.
Bob is survived by his wife of 59 years: Grace M. Ringer; his daughter: Robin Ringer-LaPointe and husband, Dr. Doug; and his fur babies: Nina, Lishka, Macie, and Bijou. He also leaves behind his brothers: Glenn and Bud Ringer, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Monday, December 13, 2021, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Central Assembly of God Church, 2020 Bedford Street, Cumberland, MD, on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at 2:00 P.M., with Pastor Doug Seaman and Dr. Doug LaPointe officiating. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
