Robert Moody

Robert "Bob" W. Moody, 96 of Zanesville, died 2:12 AM, Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Brookdale Senior Living in Zanesville. He was born Monday, September 24, 1928, in Stringtown, the son of Harry Moody and Zula (Dickinson) Moody. He married Carol (Blackford) Moody who preceded him in death, and was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Bob retired from Brockway Glass following over 43 years of service. He was a longtime member of La Fayette Lodge No. 79, Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio, and a volunteer with Washington Township Fire Department.
He was a carpenter and handyman who enjoyed building homes, electrical, plumbing and carpentry. Bob enjoyed playing golf, camping, bowling, and was an avid card player, especially euchre.
Bob is survived by two children, Mike (Mary Ann) Moody of Zanesville, and Tanya (Jack) Moore of Waukesha, WI; two grandchildren, Jackson Moore and Taylor Moore; and one brother.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Moody, and two brothers, George and Ernie Moody.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where La Fayette Lodge F&AM will conduct Masonic Services at 6:30 PM. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 1, 2024, at the funeral home with Rev. Pastor Andrew Wilson officiating. Bob will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Carol in Zanesville Memorial Park. Following cemetery services a reception will be held at the Club House in Wellington Place Condominiums, 5361 Sheffield Circle, Zanesville.
