Robert Stotts, Sr.
July 28, 1928 - August 26, 2021 (Age 93)
Robert Lee Stotts Sr., 93 of Zanesville, passed away August 26, 2021 at the Beckett House of New Concord.
He was born July 28, 1928 in Adamsville, OH, son of the late, Rollie Stotts and Leora McNamara Stotts. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from the Army Reserves. He also retired from Custom Coil. Robert was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Hubbard Lodge No. 220 F. & A.M. and member of American Legion Post 29. Robert was avid bowler, pitched fast pitch softball, and enjoyed playing basketball and other sports. He coached women’s softball in Zanesville for many years.
He is survived by his wife Wilma Alexander Stotts; son, Robert (Susan) Stotts Jr.; daughter Alyce Melissa Stotts; sister Mary Baily; step-son Arthur Lee (Beth) Deisher; grandchildren, Tabitha Ann Stotts, Ed (Kelly) Deisher; great-grandchildren, Eric & Abigail Deisher; sister-in-law Karen Stotts; many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Rodney Stotts, Frank Stotts, Donald Stotts, Billie Stotts, and sister Betty Hollar.
Private family services will take place at Zanesville Memorial Park where full military honors will be conducted by the United States Army in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.
