Robert U. Williams, 91, of Latrobe, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026 in Mountain View Senior Living, Greensburg. He was born December 18, 1934 in Greensburg, a son of the late Robert B. and Verna (Uplinger) Williams.

He served in the Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan. He was a classic car (especially Corvettes and TVRs), and Nascar enthusiast and enjoyed bluegrass music, fishing, motorcycles, motocross, travelling, and collecting shot glasses.

Throughout his life, on any given weekend, Robert was usually seen assisting his nephew Chip Stevenson at Motocross races in the ‘70s as well as his son Sam at BMX and then later at Motocross races in the ‘80s and ‘90s. He loved the thrill from the sound of fine-tuned motors and fast wheels.
