Robert Waddell

Robert M. Waddell, 72, of Greensburg, died Sunday February 25, 2024 at home. He was born January 21, 1952 in Johnstown, the son of the late Robert and Mary Louise (Blankenbicker) Waddell. Bob was a retired self-employed insurance agent and investment advisor. He operated a Nationwide Insurance agency and then finished his career with MetLife. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Irwin and loved golfing and karaoke. He is survived by his wife Diane (Boyd) Stipancic Waddell; his daughters Heather Gillen (John) of Mt. Lebanon and Hillary Echard (Rob) of Venetia; his step children Lindsay Stipancic (Jason) of Claridge, and Bryan Stipancic; of Pittsburgh; his grandchildren Jackson and Landon Savine and Kendall and Kamryn Echard; a sister Suann Hickman of Seward; and his niece Dawn Loebeck of Pittsburgh. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday February 29, at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday March 1, in the First Presbyterian Church, Irwin. Private interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made in Bob’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org or the American Diabetes Association at diabetes.org.
