Roberto C. Saldaña
January 15, 1938 - October 5, 2025 (Age 87)
Roberto Cristian Saldaña Sr., age 87, of Lancaster, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, October 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Las Matas de Farfán, San Juan Province, Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Domingo Patricio and Ramona Saldaña. He was the beloved husband of Georgia (Asencio Yens) Saldaña, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.
Before retiring, Mr. Saldaña worked in the maintenance department at Tyson Foods and held positions as a foundry worker at various companies. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family/friends, and sharing jokes and stories from the past. Additionally, Mr. Saldaña was an active member at the Spanish American Civic Association (SACA) Senior Center. An avid dominoes player, Mr. Saldaña was a trophy winner of SACA’s Dominoes Tournament in the Senior Division.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Saldaña is survived by his children: Roberto Cristian Saldana Jr. husband of Milagros, Glenis Rosa, wife of Gilbert, Bertha Ramona Saldaña DeJesús, wife of Victor, Benjamin Saldaña, husband of Angely, and Georgia Jones, wife of Baron; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two siblings, Julia Patricio Miranda and Wilfredo Patricio Miranda; and nineteen nieces and nephews.
A visitation period will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a service at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Mr. Saldaña will be interred at the Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster, PA.
