Ronald Briscoe

Ronald E. Briscoe 76, of Monongahela, passed away at home on Sunday June 2, 2024. Born on April 14, 1948 in Finleyville, he was the son of the late Leonard and Pauline (Jackson) Briscoe. After graduating from Monongahela High School in 1966, Ron joined the U.S. Army serving in the infantry Division during the Vietnam War earning Vietnam Service and Campaign Medals. After returning home he began working for the United Parcel Service (UPS) on the North Side of Pittsburgh as a shipper until his retirement. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Ron could always be found around town and was a member of the VFW Post 1409 in Monongahela. His greatest enjoyment was following his grandchildren's sports teams throughout the years, but especially he cherished the times catching up and talking to his granddaughter Ashley. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Jason and Tricia Briscoe of Monongahela; a daughter and son in law LaToya and Mike Bundy of Finleyville; sister Donna Lynch of Clinton, MD; six grandchildren Joshua Briscoe of Pittsburgh; Jordan Briscoe of Tampa, FL; Ashley Briscoe of Monongahela and Tyus, Tairen and Tre Bundy of Finleyville along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Myles and Leonard Briscoe and a sister Judith Clemont. Friends will be received at the Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, 724-258-6767 from 2-5:45pm on Saturday June 8th at which time Military Honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army Funeral Detail in the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date in Mon-Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
