Ronald Corbett Obituary

Of North Braddock, age 76, died on Friday, January 12, 2024.

Ron was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Bair) Corbett.

Loving father of Ronald Corbett of North Braddock, Todd (Desiree) Corbett of North Versailles and Scott Corbett of North Versailles.

Dear grandfather of Kayla, Ryan, Aiden, Conner and Eric Corbett.

Great-grandfather of Brady and Karter.

Brother of Donald (Dianna) Corbett of North Braddock and Joanne (Edward) Comer.

Ron was preceded in death by his siblings, William (late Sue) Corbett, Patricia (late Ted) Coppola, Robert (surviving spouse, Lana) Corbett, John (surviving spouse, Andrea) Corbett, James (surviving spouse, Laura), Linda (surviving spouse, Michael) and Richard Corbett who died as a child.

Ron is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Ron was a 1965 graduate of North Braddock Scott High School. He was a career steel worker with U.S. Steel with 45 years of service combined at the Edgar Thomson plant and Irving Works. Ron was a lifetime member of the North Braddock Volunteer Fire Department, and for a few years, he served North Braddock as a part-time police officer. Ron was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed hunting small game and deer, as well as fishing lakes and streams and wherever there was water. He also was a staunch, diehard Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

Friends are welcome on Monday from 2-8pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Avenue at Cable Avenue, East Pittsburgh (412-824-8800) where a Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m.

The North Braddock Fireman Service will be on Monday at 7pm.

Ron will be laid to rest in Penn Lincoln Cemetery.
