Rosa M. Salvador-Murillo

Rosa Salvador-Murillo, 79, of Shadyside, PA passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Rosa was born on Tuesday, December 31, 1946 in Zaragoza, Spain to the late Fermin Salvador Santarrommana and Simona Lagunas Murillo. Rosa graduated from The University of Pittsburgh and started her career as a Dental Lab Technician at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine for over 51 years. Rosa became a United States citizen in 2009. Prior to attending St. Paul’s Cathedral, she was a longtime member and supporter of the Pittsburgh Oratory. Rosa’s love and dedication to the Oratory community was very much a part of who she was. The friendships she made at the Oratory and the Dental School remained strong, her friends knew Rosa was tough on the outside but had a heart of gold. She enjoyed crafting beautiful stained glass items, going to dinner with her friends and babysitting dogs. Rosa is survived by her brother and sister in law: Jose Luis and Maria Dolores Salvador Murillo; her sister: Ester Salvador Murillo both of Zaragoza, Spain; her nieces: Olga Salvador Murillo, Ester Jimenez Salvador, Maria Jimenez Salvador; her nephews: Jose Luis Jimenez Salvador and Javier Jimenez Salvador; her grand nephew: Roberto Alumundi Salvador and grandniece: Alexandra Jimenez. She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew: Roberto Salvador.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial mass on August 29th, 2026 at 11 AM at St. Bede Church in Point Breeze with Father Adam Potter, officiating. Burial will be private.
