Rose Lee Hill

September 12, 1944 - February 10, 2022 (Age 77)

Rose Lee Hill, of Cresaptown, passed away peacefully at home on February 10, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Born September 12, 1944 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Esther (Johnson) Hedrick.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Folmer, and three brothers, Louis, James, and Richard Hedrick.

She had attended Allegany High School.

Rose enjoyed her work at Rocky Gap State Park in the housekeeping department.

She belonged to the Auxiliaries of the Cresaptown Eagles, Aerie #2883 and Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #271.

In her spare time, Rose loved watching her soap operas and spoiling her fur baby, Chloe.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 59 years, Kenneth T. Hill; children, Tammy Humbertson and husband Robert; Sherri Hill, Terri Emrick and husband Donnie, Sandy Ketterman and husband Howard, and Kim Howsare and husband Sam; brother, Bill Hedrick; grandchildren, Kenneth Garcia, Sara Brown and husband Clint, Jill Abbott, Kevin Fitzgerald, Jeremy Lowery and wife Misty, Staff Sergeant Steven Emrick, OSI Donna Gustin and husband Anthony, David Parnes, and Dylan Parnes; great, grandchildren, Spc. Jacob Garcia, Tyler Brown, Evelyn Steinrock, Kathryn Gustin, Gabriel Murphy, Isaiah Murphy, Ivan Lowery, and Ezrin Lowery; and, special sisters-in-law, Faye Senka and Carol VanMeter.

Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., Cumberland, on Sunday from 5-7 PM.

The funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 AM in the funeral home, with

Rev. Harold R. McClay, Jr., officiating.

Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family sincerely appreciates the kind, compassionate care provided by the UPMC Western Maryland Hospice Staff.

Everyone that knew her knows how much Rose loved her dogs and cats. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to your favorite animal shelter.
