Rose M. Mignogna

Rose M. Mignogna, 92, of Herminie, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born Oct. 30, 1929, in Keystone, daughter of the late Jerry and Pauline (Colerick) Suman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Michael and Mark Mignogna; son-in-law, Bill Kozar; and three brothers, George, Charlie and Anthony (Tony) Suman. Rose was a member of St. Edward Church in Herminie. She loved listening to her polkas on Sunday morning, cooking for the family and especially loved baking for all the holidays. Spending time with her family was always a special day. Rose is survived by her son, Thomas J. (Barb) Mignogna, of Herminie; daughter, Chris Kozar, of Ruffsdale; daughter-in-law, Cindy (Marvin) Dally, of Hahntown; four special grandchildren, Michael Mignogna (Anthony) Colaizzi, Rose (Marcus) Harris, Anna (Winston) Watson and Caroline Mignogna; special great-grandson, Nathaniel Watson; sister, Dorothy (Lawrence) Sherman, of Gowen City, Pa.; two brothers, Frank Suman, of North Carolina, and Ken Suman, of Herminie; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she loved dearly. Rose will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. There will be no public viewing, per Rose's wishes. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022, in St. Edward Church, Herminie. Private inurnment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.
