Roy Allen Nichols

Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Roy Allen Nichols, 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2026.
Born in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Roy was the son of the late Furman David Nichols, Sr. and the late Naomi Mosteller Nichols. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Doris McAteer and Nancy Bagley.
Roy enjoyed fishing, trips to the beach, watching Braves baseball, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, dancing, and enjoying classic westerns. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, who lovingly knew him as “Paw Paw Roy.” He retired from Carolina Electric Supply Company after many years of dedicated service.
He will be remembered for his kind spirit and many friendships he formed throughout his life; Roy was saved, loved the Lord and was a man of faith.
Roy is survived by his siblings, Isaac Nichols (Fran), Juanita Combs, Louise Kneisley, Harry Nichols, and Furman Nichols, Jr. (Rebecca). He is also survived by his special niece, Amanda Garvin, whose devoted care she gave, love, and support meant so much to him.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel and burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Roy’s memory to Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.
