Rudolph Tucci
March 31, 1932 - July 31, 2024 (Age 92)
Rudolph A. “Cheech” Tucci, 92, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, July 31, 2024, in Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born March 31, 1932, in Greensburg, a son of the late Pio and Angeline (Bracci) Tucci. Rudolph worked 30 years for Walworth Manufacturing Company and 10 years for EMD Westinghouse in Cheswick.
He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War in the 45th and 7th divisions, receiving the combat infantry badge. He was proud to always fly two American flags in his front yard. Rudolph also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his camp in Sigel. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Greensburg. He was also a member of the AMS Club, South Greensburg and their bocce league, and the Italian Sons and Daughters of America.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen (Burkholder) Tucci; and three brothers, Romeo (Margaret), Joseph (Josephine), and Robert (Eleanor) Tucci. He is survived by three sons, Michael (Marcia), Edward (Lisa), and David (Anne) Tucci; six grandchildren, Matthew (Brooke) Tucci, Stephen (Taylor) Tucci, Tiffany (Nick) Altman, Shane (Addie) Tucci, Hayley (Mike) Tymoczko, and Stephen Deems; seven great-grandchildren, Ariah, Tori, Bella, and Grace Tucci, Isaac Altman, and Benjamin and Kevin Tymoczko; his loving companion, Katie Grippo and family; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Monday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park with full military honors accorded by the American Legion Post No. 981, South Greensburg Honor Guard.
