Russell Grant Viney III
December 11, 1964 - March 11, 2025 (Age 60)
Russell "Rusty" Grant Viney, III, 60, of Ridgeley, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Born December 11, 1964, in Cumberland, Maryland, Rusty was the son of Russell and Maxine Viney.
In addition to his parents, Rusty is survived by his wife, Karen (Ridgeley) Viney; children: Andrew Viney, Heather Viney, Tonya Keefer, and Sheena Perez; grandchildren: Tyler, Isaiah, Aalyiah, Giovanni, Joshua, McKenzie, Mac, and Ava; Sister: Melissa Paugh, her husband Bill, and their daughters, Vanessa and Leslie; and great-nephews: Braiden and Wyatt.
Rusty was a graduate of Frankfort High School, class of 1983. He worked as a laborer for Bayliner and a supervisor for Superflos, but he is most known for his time working at Press Auto Mart. On any given day he was working, you could see a line of cars waiting to get a little gas and talk to Rusty. Rusty was a friend to everyone he spoke to. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. In fact, it should be mentioned that he called his parents every morning between 7-8am just so they would know how much he loved them.
Rusty loved life. He loved being in the outdoors and could often be found hunting, fishing, and being with his grandkids. He and Karen recently started, and fell in love with, kayaking. Rusty’s passion was drag-racing. He spent many weekends racing at the track sporting Viney Racing at Blair-Bedford Dirt Drags. He was loved by everyone he met. He will be missed by all.
